What would you pack if you only had 1 small bag to live off for 3 months?

My boyfriend and me are going to Australia’s Gold Coast, in a few weeks for 3 months and I’m starting to think about what I should pack… we are only taking carry-on luggage so only a bag the size or a standard ‘overnight bag’. (I’m taking my Country Road tote if anyone is familiar with that bag size). I have so many clothes and shoes and I know I can’t take them all so I was just wondering if anyone could help me out with what I will use a lot, and what I probably won’t use.. from experience or just imagination… Thanks!

Riversable clothing and a single sarong has multiple uses. The sarong can be worn as a short or long skirt, a dress, a bathing suit cover up, etc and there are Sarong wrap instructions online.

Hey I will be in the gold coast for like three days in January! And as for your carry-on luggage thing, wear lots of clothes on the plane! I always find shoes pretty difficult to pack, so maybe getting sandal-y type shoes that could be worn to the beach or to a club would be a good idea. Also, there are lots of pretty summery dresses around now and they can be worn for day or night.

Deoderant, Hairgel, toothbrush, tooth paste, clothes, boxer shorts, cellphone and off course…..my sunglasses

Yikes, that’s a toughie. One thing to keep in mind if you’re going to have to wash things a lot and wait for them to dry is - synthetic material dries faster than cotton. I love cotton for comfort and would choose cotton clothes above all others but it takes ages to dry.

What about buying a lot of clothes at your new destination and then just mailing them back home when your holiday is over?

LOL thanks. When I pack to go anywhere, without fail, 3 times more clothes than I need, have to come with me.
