Our next president

With the economy the way it is now , do you think our next President can start to straighten it out?

Answer #1

I’m for McCain, but in all fairness, it won’t matter so much as to which candidate gets elected. What IS going to matter is how well the Congress can work TOGETHER in changing those things that have contributed to this economic crisis. It didn’t happen overnight, it happened over decades, so we should probably expect it to take between 5 and 10 years to get back in sync.

There is fault on both sides of the aisle and with those holding high powers of control of various financial agencies. There may be some fault with the Presidents of the past few decades.

But, lets eliminate the finger-pointing and get down to the business joining together to solve the problem and the many problems that have resulted. We don’t need to cry over spilled milk, we simply need to clean it up.

Simply a Rose to brighten your day,         And maybe lessen the cares in your way;         And also, too, to help you to know,         That in knowing you, many others grow!

Answer #2

Whoever wins inherits huge economic and security problems - most capable: McCain.

Answer #3

Agreed, but if the Dems get 60 in the senate, gridlock will be removed and more can be done.

Answer #4

Obama helped create the problem with ACORN, which is guilty of massive voter fraud. ACORN submitted 18,000 voter registration cards in one state and only 6 were valid. Obama and ACORN used intimidation to forced banks, Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac to give loans to low income people who could not afford them and were never expected to pay them back…we were supposed to cover the loss. Please research ACORN and Obama’s (their lawyer) connection. These loans and the policy Clinton and Obama forced through created this mess. Obama is a socialist, he will raise taxes and make things much worse. I could have easily voted for a Democrat or a black man, I want the best man for the country, but not this one, he is dangerous.

PS, I am no McCain lover, this is a lesser of two evil situation.

Answer #5

The fault is on both sides to a small extent. But it all started with the reagan revolution. That was the start of the massive deregulation that created the environment that allowed this to happen.

Pointing out one parties complicit nature in creating the problem is not finger pointing when that party is attempting to retain power.

Primordial, I see you are still posting unsubstanitiated nonsense. You are nothing but a political hack, and not a very good one at that. You are just parroting what he read in conservative wingnut sites.

Answer #6

Possibly but Democrats need a spine transplant because they haven’t shown any signs of having a backbone in years.

Answer #7

We are in a deep hole. Either candidate would have a tough time turning things around.

Answer #8

primordial, I dont need to research “12/12/12 end of the world” to know nonsense (to put it nicely) when I see it…

Answer #9

ahahahahhaahhahahahaha…! oh primordial you are funny!

lol, yes this is Obama’s fault… after all he was in power the last 8 years, started the war, put the U.S. in debt, led to the mortgage crisis, hmm… you really do know what you’re talking about… lol, you know that is probably the most ridiculous thing I’ve heard so far (and I’ve heard some pretty stupid things…)

Answer #10

true… true…

Answer #11

If this is the first time you have heard it then I understand why you don’t know anything. Research Obama-ACORN Root Causes of Mortgage Crisis and learn something, or keep your eyes shut because of are afraid to know the truth.
