Online Stock investing sites for my needs?

I want invest about 5000$ on stocks of couple of companies of my interest, I want to keep them for about 6 month before selling them off. Whats the best way of doing this? Any online websites that would help me accomplish what I want do?

finance.yahoo.com / finance.google.com / marketwatch.com are the largest financial related sites. I bought a book written by the founder (or one of them) of Investor’s Business Daily, their site is here: http://investorsbusinessdaily.com/

Though in terms of investing like your describing, it might be best to check out etrade, tdwaterhouse, schwab, or a similar site.
