How many niche sites does a person need to make good money online?

I have been thinking of starting a few niche sites, but I am not sure how many I would need in order to make a good online income. It seems to me it would be hard to maintain more than maybe ten of them. How does one maintain more than that? Do they outsource their content? I am just wanting to know all I need to know before I begin this venture.

Thanks for your answer, dude. I started one this morning, and will expand when I feel ready. I made it about something I’m very interested in, so I know I’ll keep it up. We’ll see how it goes.

I’d build one. That way you can focus on the building and marketing of the site.

My wife & I have built dozens of sites over the years, but we weren’t interested in any of them. However, my brother learned internet marketing (funguy) and things last year, built less than half a dozen sites, and is making as much from his internet ventures as his day job.

So perhaps it’s just me as I can’t do go part way on something, but have to go crazy on one thing :)

its not easy to make it as a main source of income. I would suggest getting a part time job working 3 or 4 days a week and spend the other days figuring it out. are you talking about like paid survey sites and pay to read email sites? I don’t know what a niche site is. but there’s “sendearnings.com” with a bunch of stuff. and at helium.com you can get paid for writing interesting stuff like poems, stories, etc. a place called vindale research pays you to try out products. for example, you have to buy some skin cream for like 6 bucks and they reimburse you like 9 or 12 bucks so you have to spend money to make money with most of these. good luck!
