Unless you PERSONALLY know that your body doesn’t produce enough HGC pregnancy hormone, I would still go for the test. Just because your mom, aunt, or sister’s body doesn’t produce a enough for an early test result, doesn’t mean you wont.

Your body HAS to produce the hormone otherwise you can’t develope a fetus. Obviously, it may be so minor early on in the pregnancy that it is undetectable to an at home test, but later on, you’ll produce a lot in order to sustain life.

A doctor’s pregnancy test works the same way an at home pee-kit works, by the way… it’s not really that much more sensitive. Unless you’re getting a BLOOD test done, you’ll probably get the same results.

When I tested for my son I got a positive from a First Response at home kit that was fairly bold, the one I got at the pregnancy center wasn’t nearly as bold of a read out… So if you do choose an at home kit, First Response is very good.

When in doubt, go in for a chat and/or exam with your doctor. They’re the best resources. You’ll need to go in soon anyways if you are pregnant.
