Would I be charged as a runaway?

I am 16 yr female I used to live in massachusetts but my mom picked up and moved to arizona when I was 5 months pregnant. She is a pathalogical liar and has more issues than a debate team. I have a 13 month old daughter and I feel this is not a suitable place for me or her. My question is can I move back to my hometown without being charged as a runaway?

Answer #1

if your family member lives there then yes I think so but dont hold me accountable

Answer #2

get an emancipation?

Answer #3

If you have family that still lives there and your mom gives you permission then yes. But the family member would have to take on the role of your legal guardian.

You could try emancipation. But the courts don’t let just anyone get emancipated. You have to have a REALLY good reason. “It’s not a suitable place” isn’t good enough. And it’d probably be more complicated since you have a child.
