Is it normal to be short of breath after eating a big dinner?

I very rarely get short of breath. Tonight i went out for dinner and ate a lot (6 oz filet steak, calamari, shrimp and cheesecake). Could this be the reason? And if so, how come a full stomach affects breathing?

Answer #1

wow that is a lot maybe you just need to let it settle

Answer #2

Yeah. That’s a huuuge dinner. You should eat slower to allow your stomach to settle instead of eating all that and you won’t get so short of breath :P

Answer #3

I eat a big dinner when I go out but I don’t get short of breath. Maybe you’re eating too fast.
