why or why not?

Answer #1

thats not likely to happen…1) god doesnt work that way… and 2) miraculous spirituakl contant with heavenly things dont happen like that no more…ifomething wud show up tellin me someting like that den I wud know not to listen to it 4 it is not my father it is my adversary the devil… he wuddnt miraculously appear to me like that or any 1

“Many will say to me in that day, ‘Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name, and expel demons in your name, and perform many powerful works in your name?’ 23 And yet then I will confess to them: I never knew YOU! Get away from me, YOU workers of lawlessness.”

Love never fails. But whether there are [gifts of] prophesying, they will be done away with; whether there are tongues, they will cease; whether there is knowledge, it will be done away with. 9 For we have partial knowledge and we prophesy partially; 10 but when that which is complete arrives, that which is partial will be done away with. 11 When I was a babe, I used to speak as a babe, to think as a babe, to reason as a babe; but now that I have become a man, I have done away with the [traits] of a babe. 12 For at present we see in hazy outline by means of a metal mirror, but then it will be face to face. At present I know partially, but then I shall know accurately even as I am accurately known. 13 Now, however, there remain faith, hope, love, these three; but the greatest of these is love.

Amazing how christians “claim” G-d for their very own.

I ask this back to you… If G-d presented himself to you that Islam, Judaism, or any other non-christian religion was the one true religion, would you convert?

Or would you claim that it was satan trying to trick you to convert?

Answer #3

G-d has shown himself to me through faith. It is not seeing with my eyes to believe in somthing. Does color exist to someone who is color blind? Sound to a deaf man? Religion for some is not just using the first bible that they come across, it is based on a measure of faith.

Answer #4

im a proud athiest so I dont beleive in your god and even if it did show itself I still would choose to not beleive in it because quite ohnestly I would be happier dead than beleiving in the christian god

Answer #5

This question is a paradox. If God revealed himself to you, then you would no longer have to BELIEVE in him, nor would you need to ‘convert’ to a religion that is based on FAITH… you would KNOW… that defies the very concept of FAITH… which God requires.

Answer #6

“Does color exist to someone who is color blind? Sound to a deaf man”

Those are terrible comparison’s. Sound and Color can be proven, God can’t.

Answer #7

I’m an atheist, but I can entertain a hypothetical: If the christian god presented himself to me and proved he really was who he says he is (though I have no idea how he could actually prove that to my satisfaction), I would indeed believe in his existence. But I wouldn’t convert to christianity, because the god described in the bible really isn’t at all a nice fellow (far from the ‘kind and compassionate’ being christians portray him as), and he’s certainly not the sort of being I’d want to worship, even under threat of torture.

Answer #8

Well, if god would actually show up and convince me that he is actually a god and that he exists, I would believe in him. I would, however, not convert to any of the known to me religions that have anything to do with god.

But, if there would be some sorta nice religion(which “god” would tell me is right), not like christianity or islam, and as long as it would not cause me any trouble and make me pray and such, I would probably convert to it. Altho, I see no reason for a god to make people follow something like a religion.

Answer #9

I don’t know about all of my family, but my grandmother is Christian and strongly believes in the Christian religion, she has signed convinced my mother to put in all of my forms, asking what religion, that I am Christian . I do not believe in God, I do not follow Christianity, and I will certainly never EVER convert to any religion believing in God . I can tell you truthfully that I do not believe in God because, since I believe that there are scientific explanations for everything, I believe in the Darwinian theory of evolution .

Answer #10

“ifomething wud show up tellin me someting like that den I wud know not to listen to it 4 it is not my father it is my adversary the devil… he wuddnt miraculously appear to me like that or any 1”

Really. So how do you know that other things, like, say, the bible, aren’t written by the devil?

Answer #11

If god was to come up to me I would kick him in the balls! To thank him for two rounds of chemo, a miscarriage, and all the other stuff I had to go through in the past six years. Separate the church and state. I hate having to go to army stuff and doing prayers. I hate it. I will never believe in god and even if I were to. I would not be on his side. Don’t give me that bs about god loves you and would never hurt you. He has a plan for you. If fact this question has annoyed me and I don’t annoy easy.

Answer #12

I’m an Athiest - and I can’t answer your question. To me - there is no God, so he would never show himself to me, and I would never convert. You are not going to get an answer from Atheist on this question - because it’s ridiculous to ask them about an imaginary being showing up. It’s the equivelant of saying - if you really saw santa clause - would you believe in him!
