Why wont my family read my book they always say woo I just know your book is good or I cant wait untill you get rich and famous cause your book is sooo good but they never read it or even tried to ask what chapter im on or any thing or even whats it about isnt your family supose to be the supportive ones???and why wont they read my book if they just know it sooo good??? They always ask dede will you put my name in the book please blah blah blah…im starting to think I wrote it for nothing because no one will read it and I’ve all ready put it on wattpad dot cum people on there have read it but no one cmmnts and I put it on mispc 2 but no one cmmnts on if its good or not what should I do???

Hi DEde,

The problem is people don’t have any patiency to read.Even if you are a good writer it depends mostly on marketing your product .People rush to the first Harry Potter book stand because they already know a bit about what it’s about.

Try making it look catchy like a really awesome cover if your giving it to your family. On the internet tell them the bigger picture of the story BUT DONT REVEAL IT.Then really have a catchy first sentence and keep it mysterious.Like every page just gets better than the one before.

Anyways if you want people to read yourself imagine yor friend came and gave you her stories to read.Would you want to or be lazy?That’s how they feel. Okay Good Luck (:-)

Perhaps your family does not realize how important it is to you that they read it. Yes they should read it just to show love, but some people are afraid of the unknown. Others feel inferior because they have not achieved such a goal. let others read it and don’t worry about the family eventually they will work out their own problems. Have patience and congratulations on completing your book.
