Need help with quiting cannabis

I smoke a lot of cannabis, and the past year or 2 it has taken over my life. Change seems so hard. What could I do to first of all quit cannabis, and secondly get me motivated and out the house socializing again

erm lol im taking it your American ? XD I am an English person >.<! lol and my reason for trying to stop is not to get closer to god or anything like that god will be around no matter what :P (that’s what I believe anyway) im unsocial unhealthy and unhappy :P all because I smoke something that I thought made me happy :S ! mad eh

lol how can you say don’t believe in addiction when its not just a mental thing its physical too :P, the bracelet thing sounds quite good rofl , and as for cigarettes they make me puke on there own :S

Dont believe in addiction,

Put a bracelet on and pull it and let it go so it stings your wrist every time you think of weed,

Start smoking ciggies instead

That’s what I said; you keep telling yourself you can’t, how are you supposed to quit when you tell yourself you will fail? Convince yourself before you convince the world ;)

its what to say after the “hi” that’s the problem… and with smoking the way I do for the many years I have it alters your mind so much …and your aware of it but you just don’t stop :S things seem hopeless sometimes

go seperate yourself from all together and go do somthin like get a job or go to the gym and just make a goal and nver give up no matter what just think postive you can even get closer to god by giving it up your doin his will and dont stop get up and go to church and make time for bible studies and if you need help im not trying to be pushy im just suggesting go to a kingdom hall and ask for a study or find out when a meetin and go they will help you.

Well, I think you should stop your habit first and then get yourself out of the house. If you are fed up with smoking, then quit. Tell yourself it is a bad habit. Throw away anything related to the habit. Studies show that most quitters have more succes with going cold turkey instead of slowly quitting. Get is all out of your system at once. Wash anything that smells like it (scents can trigger your memory as well)

Socializing is not hard to do, I believe you keep telling yourself that it is hard but trust me, every bit of socializing starts with a simple ‘hi’ ;)
