Navel Peircing and Pool?

I am planning to get my belly button pierced on April 26 will I be able to go into the pool water on May 16th?

can you take it out before you get in the pool and then put it back in when you get out the pool?

it depends a navle peircing takes at least 3 months to heal during that time you are advised to stay out of pools with chlorine in them because it can infect the peircing also because there lots of bacterian that will infect it (especially if its a pool that heaps of other people are in) but your fine to have a sjower or swim in the ocean/a lake, ect but you really should wait at least 3 months before going into a chlorine pool it might be best to wait a bit longer and get it done after you go swimming

when I first got mine I was scared to take it out because it closes more easily then getting ears pierced but they usually say not to swim or anything because there are still a lot of bacteria in the water and everything.
