my soon to be in-laws have been talking about me behind my back, and its two weeks before the wedding. I found out what they were saying from my soon to be brother in law and I know he wouldn't lie to me we are really close. I'm still in college and getting ready to graduate from nursiing. they think that when we get married I am going to quit school and become some bum and get money off of everyone else. I have told them im not going to drop out I have come way to far and getting ready to graduate, but they don't listen. I have a job and I work as much as I can, I have student loans, bills, and all the things I need in life ( shampoo, soap, etc.) but the rest I save up and have saved quiet a bit, but now they are saying that I am going to spend every little amount of money that I get a hold of and I won't have anything. I'm not really the big spending type of person I only get the things I need and once in a while I might go out and get a pair of jeans I want. no biggie. I don't understand why they are saying all of this stuff now. and as for my fiance he won't say anything...he won't stand up for me or ask them to back off a little. usually I don't let stuff like this bother or hurt me but for some reason this has hurt me a great deal and I don't know why. I don't know what to do anymore they have never said anything as far as I know until here lately. please help me.
RED FLAG!! Do you really want to marry someone who lets people (family or not) talk about you and he does nothing. Says nothing..either he starts being your future or he can be apart of your past. Marriage is forever (in my mind lol) and forever is a long time to be miserable. Think about it.
why do you care so much what they think? My advise is to prove them wrong and then they would just feel stupid. do what you gotta do.
