Well, if your dad doesn’t want you to go to the prom, then you need to respect that. He has his reasons and, it sounds like to me that he’s very protective. Sit down with him and maybe you and him can make some kind of agreement. You only have one chance to attend a prom to keep in your memories. Also, maybe you can convince your dad that everythings going to be alright. Good luck, And take care.

first of all… thanks for the tips … I now know that there is a possibility that me and my boyfriend will indeed make it and that its not impossible. I think that your dad should letyou go to prom. You only haveo any true prom in your life. It’s one unforgetful ngiht. Convince him.

Answer #6

Since your dad dont let you, then maybe you should listen to him. And wait for another prom night.

Answer #7

I’d go if I was you wots the worst that cud happen…but how the hell are you going to afford your dress and limo etc!? I paid £380 on my dress and £100 on the limo that me and a few mates chipped into!! Then theres your hair and make up and shoes and stuff!!! I spent around £550 after all the things I’ve said already and then paid for your meal and place at the prom!!

Answer #8

definatly dont go…if he doesnt want you to go, dont..if you sneak, he will find out,…unless u have some one to cover for u…but that might not work…:(

Answer #9

Simply a Rose to brighten your day,

    And maybe lessen the cares in your way;
    And also, too, to help you to know,
    That in knowing you, many others grow!

I would try to find some way to negotiate with your dad.

No, I don’t think you should go if your dad continues to say no. He has his reasons which you seem to be aware of but don’t choose to tell us.

The respect and trust of your father is more important then going to a prom. You might think you’d only be grounded if you go against his wishes, but you might find that you ‘lose’ the faith and trust of your father indefinitely.

Answer #10

No doubt you were taught right from wrong - your choice…maybe you can talk and come to some compromise…Take care !!
