My snake has escaped

I have a baby corn snake (it’s only about one ft long, and about as thick as a pencil) and some point yesterday she managed to escape (I don’t know how, her cage was very secure) Both I and my boyfriend have searched my room (we don’t believe she has gone to any other room yet) with no luck.

We have already laid a couple of traps in a few rooms, but I was wondering if anyone who has had similar experiences could help me - So far I’ve done the pinky in the bottle trap, flour between the doorways, and left the cage open with a pinky with an exposed brain in it.

I’d be grateful for any advice from people who have had an escaped snake! thankyou.

such a small snake is going to be difficult to find especially if your house is full of clutter and has lots of hiding spots if youve alreday tried luring it with food I would say try looking for anyplace that looks warm likre near electrical appliances and check on bookshelves and anywere were there are small gaps and also in things like shoes and under clothes

The corn snake must be an escape artist! My friend’s corn snake escaped from it’s cage a while back. She searched everywhere. They all thought it had died or gotten outside somehow, but she found it in a pile of laundry like a week later. Don’t worry, it’ll turn up when you least expect it and probably scare you to death!

That sucks! my ball python has escaped a few times and theres not much you can do really besides what you have already done. Just be careful putting your shoes on (thats were I found my snake) I feed my snake in the bathtub so the last time he got out he was hungry and I found him there. Just keep an close eye out around the house he should turn up…good luck!!
