HELP MY SNAKE IS LOOSE!!!

My corn snake (not even a foot long yet) has just escaped a couple of hours ago, we have been searching every where for him. Thhe problem is that we live in an apartment coplex and arent quite sure what to do if he has escaped into the hall (we dont think he has, but just incase.) I have already set up some of the mouse traps, and am patiently waiting. im just not sure what else to do. does anybody have any advice for a first time snake owner?

No, I didnt mean mouse traps, like the ones that snap. I mean mouse traps as in, a baby mouse (snake food) in a bottle, with holes in it (as it is feeding day and he’s probably hungry. and we dont have those kinds of heaters, we have the old fashioned water heaters that are basically a piece of furniture, due to their size. Im just so worried about the poor guy, I dont want someone in the complex to find him, get scared and smush him. :(

uh, a mousetrap could kill him. try turning on your air conditioner in every room except one, turn the heat on in that room, either that or have the a/c on and have everyone sit in one small room . snakes like and seek heat. so check sunny windowsills and warm rooms. if he got into the vents, I’m sorry, but you’re screw*ed. if he got into the vents, he could be anywhere. unless you can get the entire apartment complex to turn on the air conditioner…
