Am I doing the right thing by living with my stepdad?
ok well I just posted one of these a while ago about my moms boyfriend being abusive…well…hes gotten better, he doesnt drink whiskey and e more..but he still drinks beer..but now its like hes given my mom his horable habit…and lately, everyday after I come home from school shes been drunk and believe this>> I get out of school at ten thirty in the morning!!! I dont know! everytime she gets drunk, its like she gets mad at the world and takes it out on me because nobody else is there…and she kicks me out! well she kicked me out again..so now im stayin with me step dad… I just need to know if im doin the right thing and leavin or should I stay there…because talkin to her and trying to help her doesnt get me anywhere, because she doesnt listen to anyone!! help me please!
Right now it appears the better environment is with your step-dad - you shouldn’t have to put up with drunken abuse - hopefully with you not there it will be a wake-up call for her - tell her you’ll be there for her and help her only when she stops getting drunk - it will not get better until ‘she’ wants to change…I wish all of you the best !!
Well, you need to stay with your step dad yes, if she is yelling, it could get worse if she keeps drinking like this. She needs to go to rehab.
