My Mom is doing something suspicious but I don't know what?

Sounds like weed, No it cant really hurt her, thats bs. Look it up. It is a prob if she goes driving high or spends all her time doing it. But if thats it then its no big deal.

manda_panda_danielle–that is NOT TRUE. Like I said both of my parents were hippies and me and my two brothers came out perfectly fine. The only major damage it can do to a child (and I have done research), is cause a lack of focus. If you have ‘brain farts’ a lot then your parents probably smoked pot.

It’s sounds like she is smoking pot. In all honesty, don’t worry about it. It’s her thing and whatever you or your sister say isn’t going to make her stop. Smoking weed is not all that bad and may be her way of relaxing from the stresses of life. She probably hides it because she’s embarrassed. Just don’t bring it up. It would be too awkward for both of you.

I say this, not because I smoke weed, but because I am a child of a Vietnam Veteran hippie father who does this regularly. He is who he is, but he’s still an awsome father and grandfather.

ok obviously shes smoking marijuana. I would be more concerned about this because marijuana iss 1) illegal; and 2) it has harmful chemicals that can make her age faster, forget things, not care aout anything, and be aggressive. Please, talk to your mom about this. It’s not good.

from what uve said I would say that there is about an 90% chance that she is smoking weed. I would no because some of me ex friends used to do it and the fact that she is an alchoholic also make it more likely for her to smoke weed. If she is in fact doing weed you should get her into a rehab center for drugs and alcohol. One thing, if it is weed it is not addicting like cigarettes because it is not full of any addicting substance such as nicotine. Sounds as if she is smoking skunk weed. How long does she stay in the bathroom? Weed is illegal…but I’d be more concerned with her sneaking around drinking alcohol. Plenty of folks smoke weed and drink alcohol…the concern I have is WHY is she sneaking? Does your father drink or smoke? The problem is not the addiction but the DENIAL. She needs to address both with a doctor.

I also believe that it might be her smoking weed because weed will have that smell that you described. I wouldn’t go telling your dad that she is smoking weed, I would just talk to him about your suspicions. I understand your position of worrying about your mom, especially since she has a problem with alcohol. Just casually tell your dad that you see your mom doing funny things in the bathroom and it smells funny.

her health already in crisus cause of the drinking you need to go to the hospital to get medical treatment. btw have you ever tried looking in the box?

Don’t worry I’m kinda in a similer position with my dad…From what you said it sounds like shes doing weed…I would talk to your dad about it and tell him whats going on…your mom will be mad at you for awhile…but she may be able to admit she has a problem and get help for it… If you wanna talk funmail me =)

just ask her that u think there is something going on & she should be able to tell you because your old enough to understand what she is doing..n if you feel like she is smoking and drinking a lot maybe you can try to get her some help, like rehab.
