I don't know how to get my mom to understand me

Well, I have a problem that is I dont like to tell people how I feel. (I dont know how to express my feelings, if I try I just end up crying). When people do stuff that make me sad I just get angry and stay in my room all day without telling anyone what is wrong with me. My mom thinks I am crazy just being angry and staying in my room for “nothing”. I dont know what to do, she always blames me for my brother’s problem’s and she always yells at me when me and my brother have a fight. Sometimes she is nice to me but she gets angry when she sees me in my room all day saying nothing. I just can’t take it anymore. Please help me and tell me hat I am supposed to do to get my mom to be nicer to me and understand my situation and feelings. I’d really appreciate the help. thx

You are at an age which makes your ideas and wants seem foreign to your mom. It is natural and it is part of growing up for both of you.

If possible, have quiet talks about various things with your mom. Let her know that you appreciate her advice.

Another thing you can do is to pick a couple of people on this site whom you think you can relate to and use them as sounding boards where you can express your questions, fears, anger, etc. You are not alone. There are many people on this site who can help you through problem times.

its hard expressing your feelings if your anything like me, I never told anybody anything I bottled EVERYTHING! up in the end I just blew up! it all came out in 1 I hurt so many people, your mum gets angry at you because you sit in your room when theres something on your mind, and she doesnt know whats going threw your head, instead of talking 2 her, when something is on your mind write it down, and give it 2 her, and the walk away, I use 2 do that 2 my mum and then I wud hide in my room and she would come in and cuddle me and I would cry on her and then it would be easyer for me 2 talk 2 her as she alrdy new what was up with me good luck huny xx
