My labrador

My black labrador retriever is 7 years of ages and she is really over weight and she only gets fed once a day on half a tin and a cup of bisquits isit normal for them at that age

We would need to know what food you are feeding her, Kind of dog food, NO more human food, and break her meals up to 2-3 small ones a day, HOW do you think your motabolisem would react if you only ate once a day, It would store up ALL the fat it could thinking this is going to be my last meal. Make one of her meals a can of green beans, this is a good treat for weight loss, NO Butter or salt, just grean beans out of a can, any YES more walks and excericise.

Wow..I would say that with age they start to slow down and then they probably start to gain weight due to the lower activity level. Do you walk puppy (all 3 of my dogs are 4 years old or older, and they’re still my puppies)? Maybe walking her/him several times a week (or every day if possible) would help with some weight loss. I would suggest you contact some of our dog “experts” we have on the site and they would be able to probably give you a better, more accurate answer. Try: harleyrider or magichalo Send them a funmail or add a comment on their profile. They’re both great! Very knowledgeable.
