What now, my labrador is blind?

I found out this mornig my dog was diagnised with a disease that makes them blind. He is already blind.it happened so quick.I want to know what do I have to do to make he’s life easier? How does one cope with this? Is it better to have him put down - he is still very young only 5 months.please help

just depines, take him 2 the vet or animal hospital and talk 2 a nurse there. And she what your options are. If you love your dog and you want 2 be with it through this hard times. I’de say keep it, like not put it done. But thats gonna be a lot of responsablilty. and if you dont think you can handle it. you might have 2 put it down. good luck

First of all dogs use their noses far more than their eyes, to tell them what’s going on around them, unlike people. They also adust very fast to being blind. If you change the furniture around it will take him a couple of days to figure it out, but that’s it. You have to take care not to put him in dangerous positions…like near traffic, or near water…Remember his ears work fine, so get a good recall on him…There are also sites on the internet that will give you ideas, too. People train pups born blind, easily…blind and deaf, even…take advantage of the internet. Your dog is still a puppy at 5 months…so hardly set in his ways…
