Hi Im a hairdresser, we use what we call thinning scissors, if you wish to keep the lengh of your hair it is thinned out underneath keeping the top layer long..

Go to the salon and get a lady (or man) to thin it out. I have the same problem and they have to thin it out! it doesn’t take long it will just take a little of the heaviness and thickness away and your head will feel a lot better!
