My grandmother passed on at midnight

I said my final goodbyes and kissed her for the last time.

but I thought to myself. it doesnt even look like her. she had a stroke. and her body was shutting down. she couldnt talk or tell me she loved me.

but she wrote me a letter before she went. and it was near impossible to read.

soon we are going over there, so I can pick something out for me to keep to remind me of her.

do you think it is a good idea? and should I or shouldnt I go to school?

I am so sorry for your loss - Definitely pick out something that relates to good times / her smile / her goodness - use your judgement on school - I hope this helps you. God bless !!: http://www.helpguide.org/mental/grief_loss.htm

I am sorry that your grandmother died. I can tell that you two had a close relationship. I think that it would be agood idea to pick out something that reminds you of her. Every time you look at it you will remember all of the special memories you made with your grandmother. Take as much time as you need to get over it. I wish you the best of luck for the future.

I think you should go a family member to remember or take care of is important than one day of school..you can make it up the next day anyways.. sorry to hear that .

Answer #5

Well everyone so far agrees that you should get something that reminds you of her. On the school thing I think you should be around people that’ll help you with your grief the most (friends @ school or family @ home)

I can sympathise so much, because I lost my beloved Grampy back on the 11th September at 10:30pm. I’ll never forget my Grampy and neither will you forget your Gran. I say definetly go and have something that relates to you and your beloved Gran, and reminds you of the good times you have had with her.

And you should have the day off school, even if you are studying for exams, because at the end of the day, what’s more important, your family or school. They’ll understand.

sorry a million times, and I know exactly what you are going through. sorry for your loss, Nick.
