im really sorry this has happened to you, you are so young to have gone through all of this. try talking to your dad when he is in a better mood and sober. he may not realise what he is doing and he obviously isnt coping well. try talking to another family member like aunty or uncle or grandparent and asking them to talk to him if you feel you can’t. try and get him to seek help.

Answer #4

Tell him. Tell him you understand why he drinks, but that he should not hurt you. That it’s not your fault your mom died.

If that doesn’t work, I believe you should see your local authorities, he can drink but he cannot slap you!

Answer #5

You have two choices:

  1. Call the police and with the court’s insistence, your father will receive the necessary counselling and therapy that is needed to deal with both his alcoholism and your mother’s death

-or-

  1. Put up and shut up

Harsh, I know, but you can’t keep going around saying “I have to do this but I don’t wanna…”

Nothing is easy, and your father isn’t just going to fix this because you asked him to…it’s a little more serious than that.
