Answer #1

My cat did that, and he had feline aids, and no it’s not contagious, but take him to he vet and see. (:

Answer #2

can you take him to the pdsa they help sick animals and you can just leave a small contribution. how long has he been sick? may be it is fluff balls. if it goes on you will have to take him to a vet as he is suffing hope he is better soon jackie

Answer #3

Don’t you have a local animal shelter/SPCA near you that would look at him for no charge? Or like aprilleah said, phone your nearest vet and ask him if he can help you.

Answer #4

I would call a vet nearest to you and tell them whats going on and tell them you have no funds to bring him in, but see if there is anything you can buy at a store, that can help your cat.

this is info out of my studies from work

Rhinotracheitis virus- is one of the viral casues of upper respiratory tract disease (urtd) in cats. To increase confusion, urtd in cats is generally called Feline Distemper, even thoufht it is a distinct and very different disease from Ditemper in dogs, The Rhinotracheitis virus can cause nasal and sinus congestions, nasal discharge, ocular discharge, sneezing, and occasionally fever.

Calicivirus- is antoher of the viral casues of URTD in cats. Calici produces the same symptoms as Rhino, but can also be responsibel for oral ulcers ont eh tongue or gums.

Panleukopenia- viral disease in cats which produces bery similar symptoms as those of the Parvo in a dog, It causes vomiting, diarrhea, inappetnace, low white cell counts, fever and death, When a pregnant cat is exposed to this diesase, or vaccinated for it, during a certain window of gestation, the kittens my suffer poor development of the cerebellum resulting in balance problems which are permanent and untreatable

Feline Leukemia– After an incubation period of 3-6 weeks, the virus imcorporates itself into the DNA of the cat and replicates causing poor immune function, anemia, fevers of unknown origin, increased susceptibility to any infectious diesease process, bone marrow abnormalities, and increased rates of tumors. Young cats, intact males, and outdoor cats are most susceptible.

Feline Infectious Peritonitis–FIP is a viral disease caused by a coronavirus which is invariably fatal. causes severe inflammatory reaction around blood vessels in multiple organs. there are two forms, Wet form and Effusive form and the dry on non-effusive form. There is a lot of info on this , I would look it up

Feline Immundodeficiency Virus—FIV—is a retrovirus in the same group as HIV and is a cousin of the Feline Leukemia Virus. I would also read about this on.
