My boyfriend and I are not allowed to see each other
My boyfriend and I have been together for 2 1/2 years. I love him more than I ever thought I could love someone. He makes me so happy. A few months ago we did something stupid and got in trouble with the law. We have not gone to court yet, but we could each end up with 3 felonies on our records. After this happend my mom and dad lost trust in us both and told me I could not see him for awhile. Well, time went by and they let me see him again. Just the other night though, he got in trouble again with the law. My mom and dad are not letting me see him again and I feel like they will never realize what an amazing person he is and that he just makes stupid choices sometimes. I don’t know how to make them realize he is the one I want to be with forever. Is it stupid that I am letting my mom and dad keep me away from him? I don’t know what to do…I need some advice…
well, first of all.. your boyfriend is a moron and he wouldnt do stupid things if he knew it could risk your guy’s relationship & your parents are just trying to protect you so dont get mad at them.. I mean he could be why you have a bad record now.. and when something is put on your record its there FOREVER.. would you rather have that or no boyfriend?
It sounds to me like your boyfriend has some issues. I am sure that he is a great guy and I would hope that he treats you well, but someone who can’t stay out of trouble with those “bad decisions” is someone who will continually be holding you back in life. Your parents are just trying to do what they think is best and protect your future (as much as it sucks). If it were me, I would tell your guy that if he loves you like he says he does, then he will get his act together and prove to your parents that he is the kinda guy that deserves to be in their daughter’s life. Actions speak louder than words.
