My ankle

On sunday, I fell and landed on my left leg on my ankle. I heard something crack really loud. It got really swollen and puffy. I have dance class every day this week. What did I do to my ankle? What should I do to make it heal? It hurts a little, but not when I’m standing.

Answer #1

GO TO THE DOCTOR! If you heard a loud cracking sound, you either broke it or tore something. If you walk on it, it will make it worse and as was said above, you could screw it up permanantly. Forget about dance for a while…

Answer #2

Go to A&E, you should really get that looked at.

I wouldn’t go to dance class for a while, it could make the injury a lot worse… believe me!

Best of luck

Answer #3

I would advise you to go to Accident and Emergency. Even if you did it a couple of days ago. Your ankle is precious and if not checked out, can complicate things even further. With dancing, this will put a lot of strain on your muscles and tendons around your ankle area. Not only will you be uncomfortable but you will be clumsy. Take a break and get it checked.

Answer #4

well ill tell you to still go to dance class but TAKE IT EASY. If it hurts really bad then ask you teacher if you can sit out for a while.

Answer #5

go to the doctors as soon as you can if you heard a po sounds you probably tore it and torn ankles take about 6 months to heal get it checked out at the doctors theyll know what wrong with it in the meantime keep it elevated if its recent, put some ice on it to take the swelling down dont jump around or go to dance class just yet rest your ankle and get it checked out to make sure everythings okay first

Answer #6

I agree with born. You should really get that checked out. Ankles aren’t anything to fool around with. With as many bones, tendons, and chunks of cartilage as an ankle has, you really don’t want to be taking chances with an injury. One wrong heal and you’re looking at a lifetime of pain with every left step you take.

Answer #7

I would go to the doctors to make sure its not broke if it is I would lay off it for a while your bodies more important than dance.
