my 20 month old keeps taking his diaper off

I have a 20 month old baby boy who keeps taking off his diaper. Several times he has taken off his diaper and he will pee on the floor. Just today he toook off his pants and diaper while he was suppose to be napping and he pooped in his crib. My question is a two part question, first of all why does he do this? And what can I do to correct the problem? I have a 13 year old son and I never had any kind of problem like this so I don’t really know what to do, I’ve asked everyone who has children and none of them have ever heard of a baby doing this. Please help me figure out what to do about this problem.

Answer #1

my cousin would take off her dipper because she figured out how to her poarent put the dipper on backwards so she couldn’t take it off or the ducktaped it so she couldn’t get it off

Answer #2

I have a mentally challenged 10 year old who found the tapes on his diaper when he was 8. At first I just thought the tapes on the diaper were bad, but it kept happening. I didn’t want to waste the diapers I had already bought, so I went to Wal-mart and bought some diaper pins. He’s not able to figure out how to remove the diaper pins, so the diaper stays on. I also switched to Tranquility ATN diapers. Those tapes are a lot harder for him to remove.

Answer #3

maybe he is letting u know that he might be ready to be potty trained

Answer #5

Your baby is trying to learn how to potty train. We have this exact problem, and lo and behold, she uses the potty by herself!!! It’s never to late to start!

Answer #6

Get the Little Keeper Sleeper. NO safety pins, duct tape or putting sleepers on backwards. Don’t put your child in a sleeper that doesn’t fit correctly, especially around their neck. This company created the perfect sleeper that all parents of toddlers should have. See for yourself at www.littlekeepersleeper.com
