Why do Muslim ladies wear the hijab?

whats the purpose of it?

Answer #1

I’ve been told it’s because they value their women and no other man should have the pleasure of seeing another man’s wife. Yet there’s heaps of Muslim families where I live and when going places the son sits in front with the dad and the mother in back with the daughter…

Answer #2

In my geography 102 class, it has a different meaning for everyone. For some it’s a religious thing, for others it’s fashionable. In some countries it’s banned to wear them.

Here is a question ( and this is how we look at it in islam). if you had a beautiful diamond, would you flaunt it to everyone to see , there being a chance of being stolen and what not>? No! a smart person, would take it and cover it in a garment and save it…because its precious and priceless to one….that…is a womans body in islam.

its a religious garment. however now its turned into fashion when worm with adorments and all the colours of the rainbow!…its wrong… i wear the burka , however i started wearing the hijab first… the true hijab is loose garment, no adorment , not see through , that covers your wholebody except your face and hands. its a beautiful thing to wear it marks you as a worshiper of god, you see hijab and you know its Islam. i feel protected with it and its purely for the pleasure of my lord.

as you can see hijab is really common sense. the woman covers her self , she is respected. she shows skin she is mistreated and called names , specially now in times that a woman’s body is a cheap …and used even for advertising chocolate !
