How do I start a band?

haha, but I’d put money on the fact that if a heavy metal band had the balls to call themselves the pink cuties from rainbowland they’d probably be pretty effin brutal, how about a R&B group called Necro-Beastial-Sodomizers For Jesus? What? Too much? lol

After findin’ some band members, talk about the kind of music you like… Pop punk, punk rock, heavy metal, etc, etc… That’ll help you decidin’ what kind of music to make. As said above, the band music style may have a great impact over the band’s name. Like… you don’t see a heavy metal band called: The Pink Cuties From Happy Rainbowland…

The best way to start your first band is to just find other people who wanna play, it makes things easier if you’re all around the same age and skill level. Try craigslist and myspace to help you find people if you don’t know any from school or anything. The best band names in my opinion are just random and/or witty and the style of music you’re wanting to make could affect what you want to call yourselves.

basically just get out there and start making friends with people who look like they might be into your kind of music.

and as for the band name, this is the one thing most bands just cant do for their life. so basically just go with something that sounds relatively normal
