Can I move from my Mom's to my Dad's?

i want to know if i can move from my moms in ny state into pa with my dad. i feel that it is a better environment and my dad treats me good well my mom does but do we have to go to court or can i move my dad is the one who pays for everything mom doesnt do anything help im 17

Hi,

It all depends on the custody arrangement that your parents have. If they have joint custody and agree that you can move, you should be able to legally with no problem. You should talk to both of your parents and see if they will agree to it.

I’d rethink the comment you made about your dad doing everything and your mom doing nothing. I’d say raising you was a major “thing”.
