Answer #3

It’s ok to be nervous. It is a big decision to make, but it does not have to be your final decision. You can always try it out on a trial basis. Your mom will still love you, even if you don’t live with her. Yea her feelings might be hurt and she may be sad but grown ups can deal with it. Tell her why you want to live with your dad. Grass always looks greener on the other side. If you can say why you want to move for good reasons I am sure she will let you go. And yes you can always come home again.

Answer #4

My teen just did this to me. She actually didn’t stay calm. She was more of a jerk. She thinks daddys is better and more fun and she wants to live there. So I am letting her go so she can see if its really greener on the other side of the fence. I wish she would have stayed calm and nice and had all her reasons ready in a calm way. Its nice you wanna be kind to your mother like that. Good luck with your talk.

Answer #5

It’s alright to be nervous, this is a big decision and it’ll change the course of your life. Even if you’re nervous, as long as your point gets through you should be fine; plus being nervous only means that you care and that you’re worried about hurting your mother’s feelings. It’s alright to feel your knees shake and your voice go weak, you’re only human. And it’s hard to put down a mother like that.
