I can certainly understand your desire for privacy and your own space, but make SURE you are comfortable before you take such a big step. If you are not being abused at home, put a decent stash of money away in a bank where you wont touch it (three times your rent) on top of that, you should have enough money for your first months rent, a few weeks worth of groceries, and enough money for your share of the utitilies (ask your roomie how much that’ll be) I hope you have a stable job. It’s awesome being out on your own, but it is so much more fun if you aren’t struggling to survive… :)

well, if you think you’d enjoy it and it wouldn’t be a hustle to spend the money on your own place, do it! thats very sweet of your mom to say you can go back anytime id do anything to get out of my house and live with a friend w/out parents if you can financially handle it and stuff…you should try it out

Well aren’t you one of the lucky young adults moving away from home. It’s really nice of your mom to say that the door is always open. Most young teens when they move away, their parents don’t let them come back. If you & your mom have such a good relationship why would you want to spend the money & move out? Save your money for somthing you might want later.
