Can I move out if my home life is horrible?
Ok so lets start off my names is brittany and my home life is horriable I cry everynight and I am turning 17 in like 2 weeks and I live in illinois so can I move out? Please someone help me please! I just want out now! Thank you
You only have a year to go until you could probably legally move out.
Try to tough it out. Maybe get involved in more activities that take your mind off the problems at home.
If the problems are really extreme then consider getting help from a child service agency.
Meanwhile, find someone on this site that you can funmail and vent on them. Use them as a sounding board and you may be able to diminish some of the problems.

from an outsiders perspective: moving is not going to solve your problems. if you are being abused, talk to you school councilor and see if she can contact social services. if life is unfair and your parents are just mean or annoying, find someone to mediate some family therapy sessions so you can be heard. don’t run from your problems, they will catch up with you.
