Why do mosquitoes seem to bite you more the younger you are?

Answer #1

Well, I don’t thing age has anything to do with it. However, because mosquito’s are after blood, they are attracted to certain blood types. People with type O blood (like myself) get bitten much more than other types. My wife for example never gets bitten, but I have to fight em off even when her and I are right there together. If you are being bitten alot, use repellent because the mosquito is the most dangerous insect on the planet. Thousands die each year from the diseases they carry.

Answer #2

I don’t think age matters, I am 34 and they eat me alive

Answer #3

it doesn’t matter what age you are. im 16 and i just got one after 3 years of being bite free besides the occational spider bite. those little guys visit from time to time from my garage i don’t mind them

Answer #4

age does matter. when i was in a mosquito infected area i had looked up about mosquitoes alot online cause there was this fear of dengue in the area. i remember reading something like they use ur body heat and the carbon that we exhale to sense u and also how much u move, if u don;t move alot they won’t think u as an prey that much. kids tend to move alot i remember me and my baby cousin sitting outside he was totally swarmed by the mosquitoes while i wasn’t. his mom and i were cursing at the mosquitoes for attacking a kid lol. Also licking or washing mosquito bites right after being bit seems to reduce the itching. not sure if this is for real it could be a placebo effect but it worked for me.
