What to do if my mom won't buy me a prom dress?

Why can’t you just wear one of the ones you’ve worn before? If you’re really not ok with that go get it altered, you can add to it, take away from it. When I got my prom dress, I didn’t like parts of it and with a few stitches we were easily able to change the way it looks. If you don’t sew or use a sewing machine you can take it somewhere to get it altered. On top of that, you can add simple accessories to it beads, ribbon etc, lace, etc. And sometimes wearing it with different jewelery can change the way it looks entirely.

If you have a consignment shop or store in your area take some of your clothes you out grew or no longer want and sell them you pro could get enough money to buy a beautiful dress :)

Why don’t you try to ask for help to your guy friend since he invited you to go with him on prom. But i agree with the above comment try to get a job and your problem will be solved.

You should going to a thrift shop , they have super cheap dresses that are perfect for prom.

I agree, I’ve volunteered at our local one, and well I was shocked of how many girls were getting rid of them, since I have mine still^^

make one, rent one or wear somthing you already have

try and look on ebay they do some really nice dresses and are not that expensive, then try finding a part time job or something :)
