Eat a good breakfast, with 8 oz. of water, eat protein with every meal, 3 oz portion size. such as fish, skinless chicken, turkey breast, skim milk, non fat yogurt, 1 egg, tofu, beans, lentils, You metabolism increases everytime you eat, smaller meals are the key. For snacks eat fruits, veggies, whole grains cereals, rice or bread. And make sure your getting enough calories everyday, Too low calories slows down your metabolism. Somefoods that are considered “Thermogenic” will actually raise your metabolism, they are: cayenne pepper, salsa, hot peppers, mustard or chili sayce, Ice water, 8- 16 oz glasses a day. green tea, cabbage, celery, brussel sprouts,broccoli, cauliflower, berries, fatty fish and oatmeal, to name a few.
Some of the basics–drink plenty of water, eat well-balanced, small meals or snacks every three hours, exercise, breakfast really is the most important meal of the day so don’t skip out, you can keep the “healthy” fats in your diet, don’t over-do it, and cut out trans fats. Just stay active and things should start getting better for you. Before you take any vitamins or supplements, talk to your doctor. Don’t be obsessive with exercise, our bodies have limits–just don’t stay inactive. If you’ve had no changes in a couple months, visit your doctor. Hope this helps. Take care. :-) -S
