Mercenaries

Was thinking about becoming a mercenary… Are they even legal?

Answer #1

haha if you want to be a PMC I would call you stupid. people send mercs into places they dont want to risk decent soldiers life on. mercs get sent into hell. believe that. and you get involved with some bad people.

Answer #2

The military wont recruit me because I had 2 felony convictions over 20 years ago. been straight since then. I am reasonably fit for being 42 (although a tune up is needed) I was laid off from work in March and I am not closing any doors to the potential of income.

Answer #3

Yeah I was offered a contract with the Army that guarantees me a spot in Ranger school after boot and airborne. But I keep wanting to lean towards the Marines. Was thinking about getting into a PMC after my term in the military is up. So I could be more qualified.

Answer #4

They have not been called mercenaries for years. They are now known as Private military companies (PMCs)

There are dozens in Iraq and other hotspots throughout the world.

Most prefer ex-forces personell but others will take on any reasonably fit person willing to risk his life for a few $’s or £’s.

It is a highly stressful environment and mental burnouts, anxiety and various mental disorders are commonplace in this work. (trust me on this one!)

Don’t believe the sh*t you see in movies and TV. It is for fools and the crazy.

The money is generally good but what use if you are maimed, mentally damaged or dead?

Answer #5
