What would be medium high on my stove?

Obviously I’m not a baker. My stove options are Low, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, & High. Which one of those would be medium high? I’m trying to make molten chocolate cupcakes & it’s telling me to heat whipping cream on medium high…

Answer #1

I generally put the dial on 7 when the recipe calls for medium high heat.

Answer #2

It just means to heat the whipping cream on a moderate temperature so that it melts…but doesnt burn. Anywhere from 5-7 will work..just keep a close eye on it and stir it constantly so it doesnt burn.

Thank you, I ended up just using eight but we didn’t even keep it on for that long cus the edges of the whipping cream started bubbling. Not really to a boil but I was worried about it burning so if it was heated then I thought that was okay because you’re supposed to put chocolate chips inside & mix after. But I didn’t know. Do you think you would mix it in while on the fire or not? Sorry, I’m panicing. lol
