Me and Jesus: Our "relationship"?

I go to curch, sing the hyms, go to church camp and get emotionally overwhelmed by this “feeling” in the chapel.

The problem is, how come everyone else has experienced God and I haven’t? I have never “heard” him. Does he even exist? I’m not against God whatsoever; I just have no idea if he is really there. I aven’t ever seen him.

I’m one of the smart stubborn people who “believe things if they see them” and I haven’t seen the Lord. I haven’t talked to him. I pray and nothing comes out of it. What’s wrong with me? I’m sorry, but I’m not going to live my life by a book, THE BIBLE, and I’m not going to worship something that isn’t there.

Wll someone explain to me what they have experienced, seen, heard, etc?

Please and thank you.

Atheist is not necessarily against God. I am an Atheist because I don’t believe in God at all. So I am not a religious man, but I am never going to condemn the beliefs of another. Agnostic is when you simply state that it is unproven. Neither side actually ‘believes’ in the existence of God, but one is more open to the idea. The reason you have not felt anything is because you’re not really meant to.

It is called “faith” and “belief” for a reason. God is supposedly testing us and so that is why you do not feel anything as such (some people do, but not all). Faith and belief are easier for those who are less materialistic and religion is not a materialistic thing. Faith is hard because you won’t feel much and at times you will have your faith tested, but if you manage to pull through and still believe in God and have an undying faith in the existence of the Lord, then you will be rewarded in the afterlife. You will probably never see a sign, but that doesn’t mean he isn’t watching over you. If you can believe in him and not need a sign for that, then that is what religion is all about I think.

I hope that helps :)!

As far as ‘experiencing’ God… you have to interpret people’s stories differently. When people say God speaks to them, they don’t mean it literally.

God is not perceived by your senses. You can’t touch, see, hear, taste, or smell him. Therefor by definition, you cannot KNOW him. Those who believe in God do so on FAITH (belief without knowing). The reinforce that faith by interpreting events and anomalies in the world around them, so that it seems as though God is at work in their lives. But in the end… it all resides on FAITH.

So if faith alone isn’t enough to convince you… you’re a skeptic… which is fine. If you are comfortable with the idea that there are some things people CANNOT know, questions that CANNOT be answered… then agnosticism might be your new stance.

I have never experienced anything. No body I know has experienced anything to do with God that hasn’t got a logical explanation. Thats why I’m an atheist.

Some people just know…like they get a feeling that just tells them it was God (so I’ve heard).

athiest is one thing, but agnostic is another.

I think im agnostic. athiest is against god, and agnostic is when youre unsure about god and religion in general and you kinda dont believe in it.

I think im definetly agnostic.

Answer #5

Nahhh, I’m not like against God, as such… I just don’t have a religion, I don’t believe, but I do respect other peoples religions.

Anti- Christ is being totally against Him. :)

* What’s wrong with me?

You’re lucky, that’s what wrong. You’ve seen a glimpse behind the curtain and suspect it’s all a sham. Well, it IS all a sham. Most people are too scared to question the great lie, and so they live their lives in servitude to it, inventing ever more complex scenarios to rationalize the nonsense they desperately wish to be true.

There are no gods, there are no demons, there is no afterlife. You would not accept ‘faith’ in any aspect of your life that matters…life long devotion to imaginary beings matters.

Answer #8

I think im agnostic. athiest is against god, and agnostic is when youre unsure about god and religion in general and you kinda dont believe in it.

Agnostic means you believe the existence or non-existence of god(s) is unknowable and unprovable.

If you are truly unsure or undecided about it… then you are simply undecided or non-religious… not agnostic.
