Math fail.

I don’t how to find the percent of two numbers. For example, what is the percent difference between…450 and 200? I’m so confused. (By the way, this is NOT a homework question) I just feel I need to know this to pass math classes properly. :)

okie take 200 and divide it by 450 and you get: 0.44445 (the four was repeating but I rounded). take that and times it by 100 and you get 44.44%. Thats the difference between them. Don’t think that percentages are always smaller than one hundred. You may have percentages represent an increase of several hundred percent. Percentages can also go up or down. The percent change is always based on your original numbers. If there is a word problem, take the old number and divide it by the new number. Take that value and multiply it by 100. I hoped I helped some.
