Is there one material possession you would consider risking your life to save if your house was on fire?

Answer #7

Answer #8

Wow that gets me thinking. Maybe we need something like that and I should mention to my wife. May I emplore you to describe it alittle?

Answer #9

Right on, I was asking based on all that taken care of and when would you decide to run through the flames and smoke for an item. (I’m kinda doing a little study here)

Answer #10

My computer. It has my research data on it! I should really back things up…

Answer #11

Well, basically it’s a binder that is separated into categories like finances (includes banking info, taxes, insurance, etc), children’s info (health card #’s, medical conditions, allergies, medical history, etc), pets info (similar to childrens), vehicle (maintenance schedule, repair logs, VIN, make/model #, mileage track, etc.), appliance warranty logs, home repairs log, home maintenance schedule, grocery price book, family favourite recipes, pantry/fridge/freezer inventory, daily agenda, monthly calender, chores schedule, holiday planners (eg, Christmas budget, gift list, decoration inventory, decoration storage, card log, menu planner, dinner guest list, holiday housecleaning plan, online shopping tracker, etc … not in that order, lol

Answer #12

Ok thanks I was pictureing something like a big rol-o-dex. (sometimes I’m just stupid and look deeper than I should) Alright, well we have a couple folders that are in the safe but not really organized. Time to get em out. When you said your whole life was in there it made me start thinking thanks

Answer #13

Oh, there’s more than that in there, but … I don’t have all day, lol

Answer #14

I’d go get the fire insurance contract… u know… the one that promises to pay my new house in case the old one burns down.

Answer #15

I agree with this

Answer #16

My treasure chest of important and special things.

Answer #17

I have full insurance on my house, so most everything should be replaced by my insurance. But there are some things that are not replaceable.

Its a hard choice for me tho. Its a toss up between several different things: 2 larger paintings my (now deceased) mother painted A model 98 German Mouser 30-06 my (also deceased) grandfather gave me. My photo album my grandmother started when I was born. My main computer - it has my life on it. All my family photo’s on it, my wedding photo’s I have yet to get any prints of. Lots of stuff. I need to work out an off site backup for that one….. 2 lock boxes will spare cash, title, birth certificates, and tax information in them. Along with a file box that has all my important financial info in it.

So I really don’t know what I would like to save most out of those. If I had the time I would try to save it all :P But I really don’t know.

Answer #18

Y’know you should digitize all your old pictures and put them plus your digital pics in the cloud. That’s what I have been working on lately.

Answer #19

My thing…the computer box thing….coz thats where my music is at…i have heard you can save stuff sum way or the other on things? but i dont know and that box like metal thing with wires and noise coming out of it is what i would save lol

Answer #20

My portable data USB’s and my picture albums. All else the insurence company can replace.

Answer #21

And thanks Onemandog for bringing up a topic to stop and think about….:)

Answer #22

Answer #24

Still not sure how I want to backup the rest of my important info yet tho.

Answer #25
