Why am i losing so much weight so fast?

I’m 14 and a half. I do horseriding once a week for an hour. The only other workout i do is P.E. in school and that’s for 1hr 20. I have a huge appetite and i’m always eating. I don’t suffer from depression or stress, either. Can someone please tell me what’s wrong?

Answer #1

you could have a high metabolism.

Answer #2

There is nothing wrong, like Jenna said it could be high metabolism, try not to pay attention to it, don’t weigh yourself, and I’m sure you will be fine:)

Answer #3

if it’s something you’re just now noticing, it’s probably not high metabolism because if youre a lucky one and have a high metabolism then your probably always had it and wouldnt all of a sudden see a change in your weight. I cant really offer much more help than that.

Answer #4

a constant exercise or a sport you do on a daily basis or that you maintain at a certain pace, will help you burn a lot more calories that if you would by exercising for 3 hours straight. huge meal or not….you build lean muscle and provide you with certain proteins and vitamins that help your body adapt to your weight loss…Especially at that young age….P.E. is a good course and having an exercise plan (on a daily basis or so, will increase your metabolism, therefore, burning calories and preventing weight gain… Also, doing sports and eating the right meals are really good habits for a teenagers life. :)

I learned this from health class :)

If you have unexplained weight loss you really should see a doctor. Weight loss is a symptom of some health problems. It’s probably nothing but it is better to be safe than sorry.

Answer #6

I agree with filletofspam , See a doctor. I was sick just like a cold but when i went to the doctor the said i had lost like 20 or 30 pounds. If i were you i would go to a doctor just to be shure.

Answer #7

I know what you are saying….but since it hasn’t been long since it started…It might not be genetic…and since she is taking P.E. for more than an hour…it could be a cause of exercise…I mean…she says she is always eating…the last thing on my mind is probably being a disease…..but of course…if it continues to happen then the most obvious solution is going to a doctor….I don’t see a matter of panicking

Answer #8

don’t think it’s your metabolism, because a high metabolism wouldn’t just randomly kick-start! I’d see a doctor if I were you.

Answer #9

I’ve been to my doctor he said there’s nothing wrong

Answer #10

Answer #12

Whats metabolism?

Answer #13

Answer #14

What does that mean?

Answer #15

There are litterally thousands of possibilities. It could be change in diet, sleep pattern, exercise, etc. But it could also be something much more serious like AIDS. I’m sure it’s unlikely, but a possibility, none-the-less. The point is, you should see a doctor if it persists.

When I started smoking, I dropped from 145lbs to 128lbs in a month.
