How to LOSE weight?

First, determine from the information below, what your weight should be. Then set yourself goals of a week, 2 weeks, a month, 3 months, 6 months and a year. As you see yourself meeting your goals it becomes easier. Remember, you didn’t gain your weight overnight so don’t expect to lose if overnight. Plus, weight lost slowly is more likely to stay off than weight lost in a hurry.

BMI (Body Mass Index) is a measurement of body fat based on height and weight that applies to both men and women between the ages of 18 and 65 years.

“How can I Lose 1 pound of body weight per week?”

One pound of body fat is equal to about 3500 calories. So to lose 1 pound of weight per week, you need to eat 500 calories/day LESS than you burn.

But it’s not a good idea to lose weight simply by cutting calories. As well as decreasing calories you should increase your daily physical exercise. This helps to burn calories and build more lean tissue which in turn burns more calories.

“What should a minimum calorie intake be?”

As a guide to minimum calorie intake, the American College of Sports Medicine (ACSM) recommends that calorie levels never drop below 1200 calories per day for women or 1800 calories per day for men. Even these calorie levels are quite low.

70 pounds in 2 months? I lost that in like 4 and I’m heavier than you. the only way you’d probably lose 70 pounds in 2 months is the “unhealthy” way. Just try to lose as much weight as you can. Go on a low calorie diet and exercise and limit sodas eat low cal fruits and vegies. I lost the weight I did (not too healthy either) by eating slim fast optima bars they fill you up and keep you not hungry for 4 hours. I ate those for breakfast and lunch. Dinner I ate Smart one’s or Lean Cuisines. I went to the gym and worked out and if I ever got hungry later, I’d eat those 100 calorie packs or something with less than 100 calories. I was on a 800cal/day diet. Not the best, but it worked. But I became obsessed with counting calories and now I’m all messed up. Just don’t get to obsessed with it. and Definately don’t get on the scale everyday.

Green tea isn’t as powerful as it’s rumored. However, as I have written in another forum, there are certain diet pills with Hoodia and Green Tea Extract that within a ten day period you can lose up to 5-10 lbs. However, either unfortunately or rightfully, you have to be over the age of 18 to purchase them. Although I’m not going to say your way to young, because I understand that your at a very sensitive age where your just developing self consciousness. I’d say go out for a jog in the morning, take the stairs not the elevator, etc. Those typical things, edit your diet and calorie intake if your serious. However, if you really find you have an intense problem and its making you miserable and you’ve tried absolutely everything, then have a mature sit down with your parents at a calm time, and speak with them about other alternatives. Research it and make your intent clear that you are not looking for an easy way out, but you are desperate for an aid.

=) Hope you shed the weight you want to lose. Although I don’t think you are in need of a weight change.

start with walking or running wont happen. I have a job in housekeeping at a hotel. there is a lot of walking and moving around involved. a woman who works there lost 10lbs in 3 months. you just have to watch what you eat. eat healthy small meals 3 times a day and go on lots of walks.
