How long should you wait to tell your parents, friends & anybody that your pregnant?

like should you wait after the most chance of miscarriage is over (3months), immediately. and when will doctors usually tell you to go in for a checkup after you find out you are pregnant?

Answer #1

I would tell them right away, get it over with this way you have time to plan.

Answer #2

I wouldn’t wait till after the possibilty of a misscarriage. If I was pregnant i would tell the father first and soon after tell my family.

Answer #3

You wait until you are personally ready to tell them. If you need their help and support its better to tell them sooner though. With my first i told my parents right away, i was 22 though and super excited and couldn’t wait to tell them. With this one we waited until i was around 12 weeks because i had a miscarriage previously and we wanted to make sure that this pregnancy was going to make it before we got everyones hopes up again.

Answer #4

It depends. If you’re an adult and can get a medical checkup on your own, then you tell them when you’re ready. If you’re underage, then you tell them immediately so they can get you checkups and what not. You do not wait 3 months before getting a checkup.

Answer #5

You should tell them when you’re emotionally prepared to (you might want to have some support wiht you, too). Just keep in mind that you can’t wait too long…at some point they’ll see your stomach and figure it out for themselves.

Answer #6

I told my family when I was ready. But, if you wait too long they will eventually know, but you would rather tell them then let them find out the hard way and be even more p!ssed off in the end.

Answer #7

some women usually wait till about 3-4 months, so they are past the most likely stage of miss carriage. Some women wait, so theres no way anybody can talk them into terminating the pregnacy because its too late to teminate at about 4mths. If your pregnant you should tell the father of the child as it should be a decision you make together.
