Long term birth control?

Wanted to see if anyone had any good methods of long term birth control ? I’m on the pill right now and it’s fine but I’ll be going to college if a few months and it’s not in town. I don’t know how im going to handle getting a monthly pack. I dont trust condoms so I don’t wanna get off the pill and just do that.. im going to call a doctor tomorrow but I wanted to see if anyone had any ideas if what would be better then the pill

IUD’s … good for 5-10 years, (But doctors are reluctant to prescribe them, possibly due to the bad effects of a few types many years ago.)

Depo Prevara - 3 months A couple of subdural implants last for 3-5 years

Hope this helps. Your doctor will be the best source of info. Good Luck!!
