How long does it take for your stomach to digest food and be empty?

So I had dinner yesterday around 6 PM but now is the morning after and I don’t feel hungry. My stomach is kind of making all these noises and I keep burping the food I ate and feels gross in my mouth when I burp. It was Chinese food.

Depends on the person and the food, but generally not more than about five hours for food to leave your stomach. However, it then spends several more hours in your small intestines. I don’t know whether one can still burp up digestive gases from food in your small intestines; do you?

Hmm. I don’t know. I took some Zantac as I was also having some acid indigestion but I feel better now. Thanks for your answer! :)
