How long should periods be irregular for?

I started my period last Halloween but I’ve only had three since then, one in March, April and July. It’s been 6 weeks since my last period, and the longest gap has been 8 weeks. Is this normal? When do you think they should start settling down?

Answer #1

Its normal, especially since you just started getting your periods. Some girls start getting regular over time and some dont. You can talk to your gyno bout the pill, which will help regulate your period and make them more predictable.

Answer #2

well a regular period should be at least 6-8 days and the time from wen it ends to wen you begin again should be from 23 days to 28. or wat ever is a pattern for you, but if your having yours spontaneous and there isn’t any pattern you should ask your doctor about it.

Answer #3

1-2 years or irregular periods is normal, don’t worry about it. If irregularity last longer than that, I’d suggest seeing a doctor.
