How long does it take the advisors and admins to approve a How-To created by users?

Not very long. It says there that if it’s over the weekend it may take the admins until monday because they deserve time off too :) But generally when I’ve made my How To’s it’s a few minutes to and hour.

It depends….I edit How To’s from 8 - 1 (my time) on Monday to Friday, generally checking them once every hour. Jeremy does what he has time for on opposite hours than me. On weekends, less How To’s get approved, as I don’t work editorial on weekends, so if Jeremy decides to approve one here or there, it may go out on the weekend, or it may wait until Monday.

(which is what the top of every category page in the howtos section says to do) you see the answer is in 48 hours if the submission is done on a Friday. I work in a country where the work week is Sun to Thursday, and my “sunday morning” is the same as the Saturday, evening, in the US.

Thus the reason it may take up to 48 hours, I review all of them that get submitted and contact people for edits, etc, if they aren’t up to snuff (usually, b/c people didn’t read the directions…).

Makes me wonder if we should put in place something that makes you click “next” through five screens before being able to hit the submit button for the first time?
