Is it bad that I can literally count the number of reasons I am alive on one hand?

Here is the breakdown: 3 people, and 2 reasons [itd make me a HUGE hypocrite, and Im not strong enough to actually be able to do it]. And without one of the people I would not have one of the reasons. Thats all Im hanging onto. Dont get me wrong, Im not going anywhere anytime soon (at least not if I can stop it lol) but seriously, I would have been gone about 5 years ago without them (well at that time it was only one reason). Somehow I always thought I would get over the ideas and stuff, but honestly, its to the point where I cant remember a time before suicide was a serious possibility in my mind. That worries me :/ espcecially cause I know life only gets harder from here… but for now, I have 5 reasons. And 5 is a lot more than 1, and if I could get through only having 1, Im sure as he11 gonna get through having 5. If not, then all the crap of these past 5 years is for nothing, and dammn that would suc.k. lol and no Im not feeling upset or suicidal. I just had to stop and think…. and well, this is what came out of it.

Your life could drastically change out of nowhere, and the older you get and the longer you just hang on to whatever you have, the more probable it will be that your story will have a drastic plot twist. When this happens don’t think of it as a horrible wound, don’t let it break your heart. Consider these incidents and plots in your life to be lessons that you can learn from. In all I’ve read and heard and experienced, suicide is the absolute most shameful and inconsiderate waste of good, thoughtful, if overwhelmed human minds.

We all have a list, our personal reasons for getting out of bed and being alive… religion aside, just have faith :D

Answer #3

. OK, I thought I would try this as well, so here goes: . (1) I was born (as opposed to having been still-born); (2) I have never had a fatal injury or illness; (3) I have always been able to breathe enough oxygen to avoid suffocation; (4) I have always been able to obtain adequate food to avoid fatal starvation; (5) I have always had access to sufficient fluids to avoid fatal dehydration. . The essential criteria can be counted on the digits of one hand. How many more GENUINE reasons could there possibly be to account for the fact that ANYONE is alive ? .

Conclusion: ….. No it is not bad that you “… can literally count the number of reasons … [you are]… alive on one hand? …”

Answer #5

haha well I feel like all of that can be summed up into “nothing has caused my death yet” but I was really going for personal reasons that make life worthwild and reasons why you look forward to the next day

Answer #6

I agree that “suicide is the absolute most shameful and inconsiderate waste of good, thoughtful, if overwhelmed human minds.” which is why I would never do it no matter how bad things got (thats where the hypocrite part comes from, plus the fact I have stopped 3 other people from doing it) and I like the idea of thinking of lifechanging moments (good and bad) as plot twists, it makes it seem like everything has a reason

Answer #7

. Bethany: “… reasons why you look forward to the next day …” ….. .

. They should be almost endless - if you don’t set your sights too high. . Imagine that early one November morning you suddenly found out that today was to be your last. . You look out of your window and see the sun rising over the horizon for the very last time.
. The bright sunlight filters through the rich red and amber autumn (fall) leaves of a majestic tree, catching the droplets of morning dew that sparkle like diamonds hanging from the intricate network of a spider’s web. . Birds sing, as if through sheer joy, as the sun warms the chilly morning air.
. A shiver goes down your spine as you realize it is to be the last time you will witness the wonders and beauty of an ordinary day. . You begin to wonder whatever happened to that girl who said I “… Love being outside doing just about anything …” * . ….. and suddenly comprehend the significance of every little thing that you will be experiencing for the very last time. . The radio alarm clock clicks itself on, as if to rouse you to the enormity of the fact that you are hearing a piece of music that was written before you were born: . ….. an almost angelic choir sings a sublime movement in a language you have never even had the time or inclination to learn, but you instintively know that they are praising the unbounded glories that remain to be discovered. . You listen carefully for the first and last time without ever having realized how much more would have to remain unheard for all eternity. .

I’m really glad you’re not suicidal. My list is long, but only consists of one thing- being strong for the people who need me.

Answer #9

yeah im not suicidal… like at all. but there were times a few years ago where the thought had seriously stayed in my head, but I would never do anything to act on it. No. never. and now, i wasnt even thinking like that. it was more like im dealing with a lot of annoying stuff, and hate the majority of my day, and people have said to me “if i were in your position i would just kill myself” (not like they are telling me to go die, but they are saying they couldnt handle the stuff happening in my life -and they dont know the half of it lmao). and from them saying that i realized a few years ago i would have been thinking like that too, but somehow im not. So i stopped and wondered whats different now than a few years ago, like why i consider life to be pretty good even with all the bad stuff. and then it led me to this. so yeah im glad im not suicidal either :) and thanks for your concern
