It’s never safe to breed a puppy…which is what your dog is…

Answer #3

I think you should call a vet and ask. its safer to find out, and free :) just call and ask. any vet. you’ll get the answer much faster.

Answer #4

Not as safe as a dog of the same size. Best thing is always to take your dog to the vet beforehand to find out if she might need help with delivering. I.e. the puppies might be breached etc.

This is very very very bad. A six month old puppy has barely reached sexual maturity, its like getting an 11 year old girl pregnant. A lot could go wrong with the birthing or there could be serious problems when its time for the puppies to come, the worst resulting in death. Especially since the male is bigger the only way to delive the puppies could be a cecarian, get to a vet asap

Answer #6

Let me put it to you this way! Your puppy is only 6 months old and not even fully developed yet! She’s still a baby and No it’s definitely not safe. She can and probably will die trying to whelp (deliver) her puppies, especially if she was bred with a larger dog. When you breed a dog, the male should always be smaller than the female. You need to take your puppy to the vet ASAP and follow the vets advice on the best action to take from here. While you are there, make an appointment to have your female Spayed, so this never happens again. Leave the breeding to the professionals, who know what they are doing and who are breeding for the right reasons!

it is not a good idea AT ALL, however I have seen young pup’s give birth and be good mothers, I have also seen bad cases where the mother was lost and the litter. NOW in your case you said the dad is much bigger. it is the same breed or different breed, can you afford a c-section, will you be able to find the pups good homes and pay for there vet visit and vaccines? If not then do the safe thing and get her spayed NOW
